“Embracing Nature” Children and Youth Art Competition

As an Official Art Studio partner at Singapore’s largest Art Fair, Visual Arts Centre presents various art workshops and programmes, including a Live Art Competition. The “Embracing Nature” Children and Youth Art Competition will take place from November 10th to November 12th 2023.

The competition invites young artists to explore the theme of “Embracing Nature” through their artistic expressions. Participants will have the unique opportunity to create their artwork spontaneously within a 90-minute time frame, channeling their creativity to produce original compositions that reflect their connection to nature.

Before the competition, professional art teachers from the Visual Arts Centre will provide a 10-minute briefing, offering valuable insights and guidance. Reference pictures will be available, but participants are encouraged to bring their own original ideas to life.

There will be top 3 finalists selected from 20 participants in each round. Total of 9 finalists will qualify and be eligible for the judging of the top three winners for the Affordable Art Fair Competition 2023.

All necessary painting materials for the competition will be provided by Visual Arts Centre, participants DO NOT need to bring anything.

Competition Dates and Age Categories:

9-12 years old:
November 10th (4.15pm-5.45pm)
November 11th (11.30am-1pm, 2pm-3.30pm)

13-18 years old:
November 11th (4pm-5.30pm)
November 12th (11.15am-12.45pm, 1pm-2.30pm)

Each “Live” art competition session is 1.5H and limited to up to 20 participants.

Venue: The Affordable Art Fair Singapore 2023, Level 3, Room E, The Workshop, F1 Pit Building, 1 Republic Boulevard, Singapore 038975

Fee: The registration fee for the competition is $35.
All participants must hold a valid entry pass to the Affordable Art Fair 2023. Youths below the age of 16 years old, do not need an entry pass to the Affordable Art Fair 2023.
