Embroidered Dreams, by Savann Thav, encompasses intriguing abstract paintings, which encapsulate his poetic vision of the world and a transcription of his emotions.
Like in embroidery, the repetition of motives creates relevant images, which reflect a fractal composition of the world. Like in the fractal theory, the patterns are never ending, limited by the space of the canvas but continuing from one to another in diptych, triptych or even larger compositions.
Many layers of paint give a remarkable texture to his artworks and evoke the complexity of life and the depth of universe. Organic shapes spring on the canvas as in an artistic big bang, suggesting the genesis of life on our blue planet and the origin of life under water.
The artworks selected for Embroidered Dreams are recent works created in 2014 and 2015. In these works the artist shows an accomplished mastering of colours, composition and texture, which allow to express subtle and various emotions in a beautiful ode to nature.
