Following her first solo exhibition in Singapore called ‘Faith,’ Hui-fang continues to employ charcoal and gold leaf to depict the rich texture of the mountainous landscape in contrast to the more tenuous natural element of sunlight and air. Through her exhibited pieces, she brings to the table to question of the humanistic desires that are becoming more and more transient amidst the hustle and bustle of modern life. What is it that we hold most dear to our hearts? What is it that we truly value? Hui-fang hopes to invite the viewers to meditate on the depth of their daily experience as they study her work.
