Accelerated Intimacy is an immersive exhibition by Singaporean artist Sarah Choo Jing. Comprising of video installations, photography, and a built-in whiskey bar, Choo replicates the setting of a hotel lobby. Her video installations are re-enactments of imagined narratives of multiple subjects housed within various hotel windows, sharing potential narratives across space and time, revolving around the theme of familiar strangers encountered then forgotten.

Choo’s practice focuses on the relationship between space and time, depicting identifiable moments and characters within contemporary society. Intentionally constructed, the artist reflects upon social and cultural norms.

Since receiving her MFA in Fine Art at the Slade School of Art, University College London, Choo has exhibited with institutions including National Museum of Singapore and Singapore Art Museum.
