This inter-disciplinary curatorial project curated by Chui Yongjian and Mitha Budhyarto is the first of its kind that specifically investigates the cultural and social connections between Batam and Singapore. The historical and current relations between the two islands are presented through new works by Indonesian and Singaporean artists Fyerool Darma, Ardi Gunawan, Ila, Eldwin Pradipta, Stephanie Burt, Evelyn Pritt and Wu Jun Han. They examine how people, objects and ideas move across their borders.
