Textile consumption has increased steadily, doubling in volume over the last two decades. Fashion Waste Illustrated is an exhibition that asks: Can we consume fashion more mindfully, use clothes for longer, and throw less away?
The exhibition uses a combination of physical items and data visualisation to illustrate the escalating volumes of textile waste in Singapore. Innovation can be the key to tackling this waste and making sustainability more fashionable – at the exhibition, viewers will be treated to an interactive installation and products made from new yarns with a lower environmental impact than conventional fibres.
