Flower Obsession: Plant Collecting in East Asia, 1600s–1900s

‘Flower Obsession: Plant Collecting in East Asia, 1600s–1900s’ is the first exhibition at the Botanical Art Gallery to feature artworks from two important overseas institutions: Higashiyama Botanical Gardens and the private Soukaen Bunko (Nagoya, Japan). These artworks have never been exhibited outside Japan before and includes about 100 items including printed books, manuscripts and photographs dating from the late 1600s to the early 1900s.

Venue: Level 1, Botanical Art Gallery (Gallop Extension), Singapore Botanic Gardens

When: 23 Apr - 23 Oct 2022, 9am - 6pm, Closed every last Thursday of the Month
