From Social Realism to Speculative Fiction and Silkpunk

Artist Talk by Koh Hong Teng

The artist will be touching on the varying genre of titles published between 2009 – 2019 and how he collaborated with various writers. These include Gone Case, Ten Sticks and One Rice and Manja, stories that explore the social issues in Singapore’s contemporary society; Building Memories and Last Train from Tanjong Pagar, where the artist uses his drawings and text as a form of record on our shared history, and Coalition of the Savoury Spare Parts and The Prodigy see the artist taking flight into his imaginative world, where he draws inspirations from the sword-fighting and fantasy comics of his youth.
