From the Archives is a group exhibition by contemporary photography artists from Indonesia, Japan, and Singapore. The exhibition will feature Agan Harahap (ID), Angki Purbandono
(ID), Iswanto Soerjanto (ID), Robert Zhao Renhui (SG), Usami Masahiro (JP), and Zen Teh (SG).
The exhibition presents various methodologies of each artists’ art-making process, spanning from traditional darkroom techniques and photographic processes, to more experimental ways of digital imaging and image manipulation.
Through short interviews with the exhibiting artists, From the Archives brings to light the talented forerunner and emerging contemporary photography artists of Mizuma Gallery, allowing viewers to gain an insight understanding on their artistic journeys of becoming photographers.
