
Future Memories 2 – Chasing Dreams is the latest solo exhibition by Zhao Jiaxin. Featuring woodcuts, ink, acrylic, and digital paintings, the exhibition will showcase 60 of his most creative and colourful works in the last three years. The themes include: a beautiful home, filial piety, Confucianism, environmental protection, animals, cartoons, social life and National Day.
At just ten years old, the self-taught painting has participated in several exhibitions, and held his first solo exhibition, “Future Memories 1” when he was eight years old. Recently, his works around the theme of filial piety was selected to exhibit at the “2018 Singapore International Art Festival – Art Exhibition”.
Jiaxin, who started painting at the tender age of three years old, has also been recognised for his creative works, having won awards in competitions such as the “Singapore World International Art Festival” and the “5th World Cup Youth Live Painting Competition” in Canada.
Part of the sales of the upcoming exhibition at ION Art will be donated to the Singapore Children’s Cancer Foundation. This exhibition is jointly presented by Tide Gallery and Ding Yi Xuan Art Center.
