Organised by Arts House Limited (AHL), the biennial Golden Point Award (GPA) established by the National Arts Council (NAC) in 1993, returns for its 16th edition this year. GPA will be accepting online submissions from 25 April – 13 June 2023, and participants can choose to submit their works under the Short Story and Poetry categories, in the nation’s four official languages: English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, and the Translation category for Short Story in English.
This year, AHL will partner Singapore Book Council (SBC) to combine AHL’s extensive experience organising a wide range of literary initiatives with SBC’s substantial portfolio in managing high profile literary awards and competitions. The GPA will continue to grow as an important platform for discovering talented new writers, fostering a community of writers and creating a conducive environment for literary expression in Singapore.
The competition is open to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. There is no age limit to enter the competition and entries may be written on any subject and theme. Please refer to the Terms & Conditions for more information on eligibility.
