One East Asia takes a radical step in its 2017 programming with an exhibition by Singaporean street artist Samantha Lo, titled Greetings from Singapore. Perhaps best known by her moniker ‘Sticker Lady’, Sam has made her name over the last few years with her subtle interruptions of Singapore’s ordered and practical daily routines through her witty and gently subversive placement of stickers on the city’s pedestrian crossings, bins and CCTV cameras.
The exhibition features photographs of her interventions past and present, providing tangible and permanent documentation of her practice. The exhibition serves as a framework for the launch of her book, also titled Greetings from Singapore. Copies are on sale throughout the duration of the show.
