On Sunday, 25 August 2019, Masterpiece Building Jakarta will play host to the Heritage Fine Art Auction that boasts an extensive collection by acclaimed maestros of Indonesian such as Srihadi Soedarsono, Sunaryo, and Abdul Aziz, along with artists of international prominence like Lee Man Fong, Antonio Blanco, Han Snel, GP. Adolfs, and Arie Smit.

Highlight of the sale is the showcase of an exceptional rare piece from Lee Man Fong’s flower-theme collection and Srihadi’s Bedoyo Ketawang series. Shedding new light on the artistic value of conventional still-life and everyday realism, Lee generated personal narratives through his observations of life and nature around him and rendered harmonious combinations of bright and dark tones. On the other hand, Srihadi’s painting explore the beauty, culture, and heritage of the traditional dancers in the Javanese palaces, contributing with much more zest and vibrancy through his bright colour palettes.
