Tran Quoc Tuan draws his inspiration from people and landscapes, distilling the humanity he discerns by creating visual theatre on canvas; rich with textures, patterns and bold colours. Change is constant but humanity always adapts. The gift of resilience is playfully depicted in Tuan’s idyllic beach scenes, with children playing in the sand, oblivious to the adversity of the scorching sun and the ruins near them. The world around the children seems vast and lonely at first, but their innocence and joy shines through, offering the viewer a glimmer of hope.
