Over at Art Outreach’s office in the Gillman Barracks contemporary art cluster will be an immersive, interactive and multi-sensorial installation by Rizman Putra on display from 14 January to 6 February 2022. IMMEMORIAL transforms Art Outreach’s office unit at Block 47 Malan Road into a portal to alternate realities that celebrates the magic of co-creation and transformative power of art. Inspired by child-like dreams of a fantastical world in an enchanting forest, audiences will be invited to navigate through a path filled with floor-towall drawings and 3D forms created by Putra, before they reach a blank space in which untouched forms are present for them to draw on, before they journey back out into the world. Throughout the exhibition, this three-dimensional colouring book will evolve as it fills with audience interventions, connecting them to others around in a process of simultaneous creation in time. In doing so, Putra hopes to transport audiences to an imagined future of untapped potential where they can create stories together and ruminate within a symbolic structure of potential.
