IMPART Art Prize 2022

Organised by Art Outreach, a non-profit organisation that promotes visual literacy in Singapore, the IMPART Art Prize (formerly known as the IMPART Awards) aims to support the professional development of emerging artists and curators by providing impactful career building opportunities, while building awareness and appreciation of Singapore art and practitioners. Each year, up to 3 promising individuals will each receive an SGD20,000 prize comprising SGD15,000 in cash and an international exchange programme (valued at SGD5,000) offering visits to renowned institutions and exposure to leading practitioners. Should international travel not be allowed due to COVID-19 restrictions, the SGD5,000 will be disbursed in cash.

In keeping with the Prize’s intention to continually reassess its criterias and remain relevant to changes in contemporary art making practices, the following changes have been instituted from this edition:

– The age limit for applicants has been raised to 18-40 years (previously 18-35).
– All medium restrictions on artwork have been lifted.
– To recognise the disruptions of the COVID-19 pandemic, artworks made in the last 4 years will be accepted (previously 2 years).

The prize is open to Singaporeans and Singapore Permanent Residents. It is free to apply and the submission deadline is on 15 October 2021, 11.59pm SGT.
