Leo Liu Xuanqi is a Chinese contemporary artist living and practising in Singapore since 2006. In this exhibition, Leo fuses technology with modern graphic design elements with traditional painting techniques, achieving a sense of contrast in dynamic design versus still realism. His play on this dualism and dialectics inspire reflection on the interaction between tradition, the contemporary, and technology within this rapidly evolving world. The overarching metaphor of his works is inspired by history and society, often seeking to provoke his audience into thinking about contemporary issues facing humanity and the world around them. Leo’s art here takes the forms of 3D animation works, digital paintings, 3D sculptures, and interactive installations.
