The Fluxus House Gallery presents Inconsequential Irregularities, a group show featuring artworks by Cheryl Charli, KC Gan, Raymond Yap, Ruyi Hew and Terry Wee. Inconsequential Irregularities brings 5 artists together whose individual works explore concepts of irregularities, abstraction, chance, and change through an array of mediums such as sculpture, photography, painting, and mixed-media collage.
Inconsequential Irregularities comprises works that collectively represent the manifold contingencies that occur during the process of creation and within a finished artwork. The manual assembly or curation of visual abstractions in these works fall within a wide spectrum of chance and order. What emerges from each repetition is a consequential variance that threads them through an overarching tapestry of irregularities which underlies each creation, as well as a unifying surrender to this difference through repetition that subjects both practice and artwork to the inevitable irrationalities of chance and the aberrations of change.
