Even in our modern business district, you can find landmarks rich in heritage and culture. Telok Ayer was a gathering point for many early Chinese migrants in Singapore.
For instance, the Telok Ayer Chinese Methodist Church was converted from a clinic in 1889, to provide a space for the local Chinese Methodist community’s Sunday worship services. You can find influences from both European and Chinese in its architecture style.
