While Lyngo Theatre has showcased previous productions in Singapore such as Egg and Spoon, Circus Minimus, as well as Hansel and Gretel, ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ will make its maiden performance here. An adaptation of the classic fairytale, this production is performed by Patrick Lynch, and is suitable for 3 to 8 year olds. The show will run daily from 6 to 18 September 2016 at the Drama Centre Black Box, and is set to captivate with atmospheric original music by Carlo Capelli and cleverly designed props of tiny houses, giant shoes and ‘showers’ of silver and gold.
This production follows the gripping story of Jack as he sells his cow — his poor family’s only source of food and income — for five magic beans and finds himself in the land above the clouds. Packed
with surprises, this inventive and poetic adaptation of the classic fairytale promises a wonderful time for both children and adults.
