Titled Jalan Seni, this exhibition showcases the style and touch of Singaporean artist Tumadi Patri. Tumadi is known for his batik paintings with Javanese motifs that identify with his cultural heritage. His journey and experiments are characterised by the need to respond in visual and vision.
Tumadi’s passion for painting and other art forms could give audiences a glimpse of the cultural and artistic manoeuvrings. Having done several exhibitions in Singapore and around the region, his work and diligent documentation of his processes point to the need to understand the artist at work. After all, the process of experimenting and exploring is an art of human will in itself.
