Kin Chui: along waves of gravity – a solidary of holes

Towards a solidarity of holes is an unrealised monument conceived by Indonesian artist Iljas Hussein* in 1956, when he was tasked with imagining a monument that encapsulated the spirit of the Principal Liaison Centre. The Centre was established in Singapore in 1926 to act as a point of liaison between the Third International and the region in a joint effort towards anti-colonial struggle.

*Iljas Hussein is a fictional subject conceived by Kin Chui.
