STPI’s Let’s Chat online series aims to reignite intimate first-hand conversations with artists and explore sentiments behind their work, practice and life a little closer.
You are invited to a dialogue with Alfredo and Isabel Aquilizan, Philippines-born husband-and-wife artists. Their collaborative activities evolved within the spheres of family and community, including personal relationships, and those they share with other artists. Their work consistently seeks to address, discern and unravel the meanings of ‘home’ and ‘identity’, both elusive notions prone to reinterpretation and personal subjectivity. Joining us in the conversation is Can Yavuz, Founder and Director of Yavuz Gallery (Singapore, Sydney).
