A global crisis in contemporary times have spurred necessary disjunctures between locales. Physical presence and contact had to be re-birthed in virtual space, where hybridisations and mutations of images happen naturally. In a visual form, disconnected spaces and bodies overlap, filling in the physical gaps we are experiencing.
Lick focuses on the intersection between disparate locales and bodies where they meet as images, and expresses a desire for a new mutated space from this blurry intersection.
After the performance, Lick continues as an installation on the Esplanade Concourse stage for public viewing from 25 Sep 2021, 8.30pm – 10pm to 26 Sep 2021, 11am – 3pm.
