Art Outreach will be unveiling its new premises during Singapore Art Week 2023 (SAW 2023) with a site-specific commission by local artist Tiffany Loy titled Lines in Space that transforms the space into a large loom, with the floor and ceiling anchoring longitudinal warp lines that will allow Loy to weave weft lines over and under the warp.

Created in response to SAW 2023’s theme of Play, Lines in Space explores Loy’s interest in challenging the concept of textiles by creating an installation that invites audiences to explore and reconsider the way they perceive and feel space. The central installation will be accompanied by a series of process studies that were built on a smaller scale as Loy experimented systematically with yarn materials, forms and weaving techniques.
