Lio Cheung: There is no place, like home…

The independent Hong Kong based Artist Lio Cheung questioning herself ‘What is the home means to be?’ as a Hongkonger, seems there is limitation by certain social issues; ‘We work hard. We also living so hard! It is such a difficulty to own an apartment or even if just only to rent room cause it almost squeezed out sort of social stratum their salary away!’ Cheung mentioned.

At that point, to investigate about the people their mentality of longing for a place called ‘Home’. Cheung try to collect different point of views about ‘What is Home means to be?’ from all around Singapore and Hong Kong (also from internet) during her stay. By using her custom made unique word formula that transform the words comments into visualised diagrams painting.

Opening: 10 February, 7 – 9pm

Exhibition dates: 11 – 12 February 2017, Saturday + Sunday, 12noon – 6pm
