From traditional figurative bronze statues to contemporary abstract forms, the multitude of public artworks scattered across the city centre tell the story of Singapore’s heritage, aspirations and developments. Made in Singapore: Public Art by Singapore Artists is a walking trail that introduces a selection of public artworks by both established sculptors and emerging young artists, which have grown to become local icons in their own rights.
Located around the central Civic District, these public artworks span across a variety of styles and mediums. Explore the works of Singapore pioneering sculptors, alongside the light-hearted and whimsical art of Yeo Chee Kiong and Kumari Nahappan. The trail also includes the statuesque works by female artists, Han Sai Por and Liu Jilin, who have both chosen to work with the challenging material of stone.
