An experienced photographer Magali Pagani uses her camera to express her need to portray reality and the associated emotions, derived from it, in their purest form. On the other hand she uses her paintings to escape reality and the related
consequences of it.
Magali Pagani started painting after attending short courses at Lasalle College of the Arts and Miu Art Centre in Singapore. To further her technique she also took lessons with the Brazilian artist Rosangela Kogiso.
Soul Solace is her first exhibition. It’s all about nature, how she relates to it as well as the intrinsicity between her photography and paintings irrespective of the differences in style and technique.
Magali Pagani was born in the South of Brazil in 1962. She graduated in Journalism from UEL – Universidade Estadual de Londrina (BR) and post-graduated in DipTrans from University of Westminster (UK). She lived in London for 20 years before moving to Singapore where she currently lives with her husband, children and her Golden Retriever Pipa.
