
The Maybank Women Eco-Weavers programme is an initiative that connects ASEAN’s heritage through the ancient art of textile weaving to create a sustainable weaving industry, whilst economically empowering and creating financial inclusion for women.
This year, 4 artists will visit the weaving communities of Lombok, Sarawak, Laos and Cambodia on an artist residency programme that will result in an exhibition display of sustainable fabrics and contemporary artworks at the National Museum, Singapore.
