Phan Thu Trang as she takes us on a journey through the shimmering, vivid colours of her verdant Vietnamese countryside!

While her depictions represent village scenes; made up of trees, houses, and various female figures, the demure artist doesn’t remain faithful to reality and wishes to create her own universe, in the form of highly imaginative renditions where colour takes precedence.

The flamboyant trees laid in thick impasto infuse her landscapes with a sense of fantasy, while the figures and houses convey vitality. Bathing her scenes in reassuring afternoon light, Phan Thu Trang conveys the essential harmony and blessing that is nature.
