MERCI MARCEL x Juls Exhibition

French multi-concept lifestyle brand MERCI MARCEL announces their latest exhibition featuring the Singaporean artist Juls from 24 June – 22 August 2019.

Taking place at the restaurant’s Tiong Bahru outlet, MERCI MARCEL shows it recognition and support for remarkable artistic talents with Juls’ two-month long exhibition. Juls’ creative works invites guests to witness how her works explores deliberate abstraction through the art of mark-making and automatic drawing.

Part of Automarktic – Juls’ first solo show in Singapore, the pieces from Lnd En Colorr and Lnd Scrpt: Rycnstrctd showcases a series of marked maps of places that aim to explore the alteration in narratives within strokes and lines with these found marking methodologies as they evolve along the way.

Juls’ works makes abstraction deliberate and she invites guests to look for harmony and rhythms within these written vibrations. Her work intends to promulgate the multiplicity of abstract conception as she craves for the beauty of ambiguity and awe of decipherment. What is seemingly chaotic on first glance—is order within the repetition and the struggle to break out of the system.

Venue: MERCI MARCEL Tiong Bahru, 56 Eng Hoon St, #01-68, Singapore 160056
