Yew is a self-taught artist with a penchant for aesthetic expression in three-dimensional works. Her works explores the potential of natural elements as a medium of expression and she creates them as a reflection of issues on human existence and experience.
Exploring the constrct of ‘immanence’, MetaMorph gives expression to the ‘Re-characterisation’ of Natural Forms in a dual-genre representation: paintings and installation.
From simulacrum to abstraction, MetaMorph is a creative attempt to lift ‘immanence’ from a prescriptive order to an imaginative world of polarity and imitation, prompting an analytical curiosity and alluding to the freedom of a creative mind.
