Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay’s 16th edition of Moonfest – A Mid-Autumn Celebration goes online and sheds new light on traditional Chinese arts. From 25 Sep – 4 Oct 2020, the festival presents a special selection of free-to-access digital programmes which continues to champion traditional art forms such as xiqu, dance, folk songs, puppetry, poetry and crosstalk performed by Singapore artists and arts groups. Look out for the special virtual edition of the Lantern Walkabout too! In this current climate, traditional arts play an even bigger role now to uplift spirits, provide respite and to also bring people together as we celebrate a shared culture and heritage.
