In conjunction with Mothers’ Day, which falls on 13 May this year in Singapore, Gnani Arts presents you with ‘Mother Immaculate: The Everyday Nurturer in Art’, featuring a fresh, poignant collection of paintings by P. Gnana, a distinguished international painter-sculptor and by Pon Ragunathan, a much-respected modern master of South India. Loyal followers of Gnana’s art have extolled his ability to instill a haunting sense of longingness and an arresting emotion of being constantly nurtured and protected by nothing else but pure, primeval love. Pon Ragunathan is hailed as a master-painter who has the spontaneous gift of formulating heritage-inspired narratives that relate to the everyday life of the female nurturer in rural South India.
Sometimes, the most heart-wrenching, intuitive and emotive experiences in our lives come to us within the most unexpected circumstances, via an unlimited array of channels. For this Mothers’ Day, do allow art to be that beautiful channel.
