The exhibition captures surrealistic scenarios in charcoal, exploring the deeper relationship of humans and nature. Besta’s works show us what it’s like if we live harmoniously with the rest of nature — we open ourselves to infinite beauty and goodness.
What is our connection to nature?
We always speak of nature as if we are apart from it, when we are in fact, a part of it.
We all co-exist under a collective consciousness.
There is dissonance when we see ourselves as separate from nature, as opposed to being in harmony with the rest of it.
We live in a narrative of conflict with our surroundings, it’s ‘man versus nature’.
Besta’s works show us what it’s like if we live harmoniously with the rest of nature — we open ourselves to infinite beauty and goodness.
The mind is no longer cut off from the body.In this oneness we live with confidence — like how trees grow, flowers bloom, and vines emerge — without prejudice, fear or contempt.
We are not born of Mother Nature.
We are Mother Nature.
