Mother’s Day Concert

SCO’s annual flagship uplifting Mother’s Day Concert returns. Mothers embody unconditional love and selflessness, always prioritizing their family’s well-being above their own. Seeing their loved ones happy brings them joy, and a small gesture of gratitude can have a profound impact. Spending quality time with your mother during the weekend could make her day unforgettable!

Doctor Alex Su has been a medical doctor since 1991 and has devoted his medical career to looking after patients with mental health conditions. The experience of being a doctor and a psychiatrist with the opportunity to help people in improving their quality of life and illness management has also helped Dr Su in enriching his own life experience that he could infuse into his singing.

In this single-night Mother’s Day concert, he would be performing crowd favourites such as Cloud River, lyrics and music by Liu Chia-Chang, orchestration by Ong Jiin Joo; Cloud of Romance, lyrics by Chiung Yao, music by Gu Yue, orchestration by Ong Jiin Joo; When You Are Old, lyrics by William Butler Yeats, Zhao Zhao, music by Zhao Zhao, orchestration by Ong Jiin Joo and All Mothers Are Alike, music & lyrics by Yang Yaodong, arranged by Yeo Puay Hian. The SCO would be performing Shining Days – Liu Wenzheng Medley, arranged by Law Wai Lun; In That Faraway Place, arranged by Gu Guanren; Memories of Youth, composed by Lo Leung Fai and medley The Past Can Only Be Remembered, rearranged by Lincoln Lo and Law Wai Lun.
