Mystery Island by Mojoko

“Mystery Island / Pulau Mistri / 神秘岛”
A small exhibition showcasing a new collection of works from artist Mojoko.

Inspired by the archaeological treasures found in South East Asia, the artist has used his signature mash up style to blend asian antiques and heritage with the modern trash culture of the world. Fantastical juxtapositions of new and old, east and west draw you in to his surreal world of magic, nature and toxic pollution.

Born in Iran and raised in Hong Kong, Mojoko attended the prestigious FABRICA art residency in Treviso, Northern Italy. Launching his interactive design career at Diesel HQ, he quickly climbed through the creative industry as a designer, art director, creative director and creator of Kult and Gallery & Studio.

The expansion of his work into curation, installation and fine art led to a personal artistic exploration of Trash Pop culture colliding with the old & historical, mixing media such as computer programming, digital sculpture, painting and printmaking. Since then, his works have regularly been showcased around the world at international institutions and independent galleries.
