Nam June Paik: The Future is Now

The immersive and multisensory world of Nam June Paik – “father of video art” and futurist – awaits visitors at National Gallery Singapore this December as it stages its highly anticipated international art show this year, Nam June Paik: The Future is Now.

After touring London’s Tate Modern, San Francisco’s Museum of Modern Art (SFMoMA) and Amsterdam’s Stedelijk Museum, the travelling exhibition makes its last stop at the Gallery – the first and only Asian venue for audiences to catch the international art superstar’s first major retrospective in Southeast Asia.

Ahead of the much-awaited exhibition, witness the symbolic passing of the baton and learn more about the enduring influence of Nam June Paik on local and international artists today through the two-day virtual event, Afterlude-Prelude: Responses to Nam June Paik, to be streamed on the Gallery’s Facebook on 18-19 September 2021 and SFMoMa’s page from 17 to 19 September 2021.

Visitors can also enjoy an exclusive 1-for-1 deal for early bird tickets to the exhibition. This promotion ends 31 October 2021.
SingapoRediscovers Vouchers can also be used for the purchase of tickets.
