Naming Competition

With the launch of The Substation’s new 2019/20 programme, A Public Square, The Substation is offering members of public a chance to name what does not belong to us – the newly pedestrianised space in front of us, formerly known as Armenian Street.

If you’ve yet to caught up with the happenings around this part of town, Armenian Street was recently pedestrianised and converted into a park, fondly named the First Botanic Garden. This new First Botanic Garden alludes to the first urban garden Sir Stamford Raffles reportedly established on Fort Canning Hill in 1822, prior to the move to its current location at Tanglin.

Come up with an alternative name for the park/space, and if your entry tops the poll, you’ll win $888!

Submit your suggestion HERE
The polls are open till 1 November 2019.

When: 9 Jul - 1 Nov 2019,
