The course examines the revitalization of the new silk roads, through a focus on the contemporary artistic culture of the Central Asian region. It is a combination of lectures with debates, as participants journey through over 120 paintings, depicting subjects ranging from metaphorical landscapes, traditional symbols, abstract and semi-abstract compositions to portraits.
