The night is a space; a place; a time when people are alone with their thoughts; where personal screens light up with intimate messages; when artists are making works; musicians are strumming their guitars, a song on the tip of their lips; where words take shape; people hide out in a bar; where cars go to sleep, or hunt; where its denizens become somebody else; where the sublime and the infinite meet, just as lovers meet in the shadows of convergence.

Presented by Bulanujung and Starch, and curated by Jeremy Sharma, Nighthawks is an exhibition straddling the notion of expanded cinema: or an event unfolding through fiction, atmosphere and space. It features an ensemble of artists whose diverse practices range from video and installation to performance and drawing.
