Currently in its 10th edition, Noise Singapore 2015 is as much a celebration of the future of our artistic scene as it is an acknowledgement of how far we’ve come in nurturing young talent over the past ten years. To commemorate this milestone, the Noise Singapore 2015 Festival will feature an exciting line up of free-to-attend exhibitions and concerts from 16 September till 8 November – the perfect opportunity to soak in the creativity and be inspired by emerging artists and musicians in Singapore.

What do young people have to say about the world around them? This annual exhibition of the Noise Singapore Festival brings you the best art, design, photography and music from Noise Singapore’s annual Open Categories submissions. Visitors to the exhibition can look forward to hundreds of creative artworks, simple crafts and merchandise by local artists as well as music performances that will take place over the weekends.

Following four months of guidance from creative industry professionals, 34 young artists from Noise Singapore’s The Apprenticeship Programme come together for a group exhibition, “c.2015”. Curated by OH! Open House, these works investigate the relationship between art and self, and for the first time, visitors will be able to experience the showcase at two different venues.

What: The Music Mentorship Concerts

Witness the future of Singapore’s music scene with 18 young bands and musicians from Noise Singapore’s The Music Mentorship programme, across three days of concert performances. Following four months of intensive guidance and tutelage by some of Singapore’s music greats, the three-day Music Mentorship Concerts will be a culmination of these young musicians’ preparatory efforts, featuring original tunes powered by infectious energy and enthusiasm. Join us and rock out as these emerging talents take the stage!

What: Noise Alumni Exhibition: “BECOMING OF AGE”

In celebration of Noise Singapore’s 10th year anniversary, 22 Noise alumni return to put together a special exhibition commemorating a decade-long dedication towards growing interest for the arts. This exhibition of new works investigates the evolving relationship of artist and environment, a reflection of how these young artists have come into their own since their days as Noise Singapore apprentices.

Where: Lawn @ The Foothills (opposite Liang Court)

Head over to The Foothills with friends for an evening of fabulous fun, food, and live music performances by Noise alumni musicians including Stopgap, wyd:syd and The Summer State, and while you’re at it, browse through an arts-inspired market put together by The Local People.
