In the 17th edition of Octoburst!, which features over 140 ticketed and free performances and activities, children of all ages are invited to participate, play and soak in the moments of joy and emotions that the arts can bring.

This year, everyone can join our PIParade in celebration of Children’s Day on 4 Oct. Led by Esplanade’s lovable children’s mascot PIP, and the talented boys and girls from Kinderland Marching Band and Maha Bodhi School Symphonic Band who will be playing familiar tunes, everyone is invited to troop down the waterfront to enjoy more free performances at the Esplanade Outdoor Theatre.

Designed and curated specially for the young (and the young at heart), this year’s Octoburst! continues to be a celebration of fun, friendship and imagination with our line-up of interactive performances from around the world. Travel with friends on a journey of the senses from two different perspectives in Cerita Anak (Child’s Story) by Polyglot Theatre (Australia) & Papermoon Puppet Theatre (Indonesia). Delve further into the world of creative storytelling through puppetry and imagination with Tailor Made by Train Theatre (Israel) and uncover the importance of dreams and friendship in A Ladder to the Stars by Visible Fictions (UK) through a symphony of light and sound.
