S.E.A. Focus’ Fringe Film Programme returns in 2023 at The Projector to present a series of distinct artists videos and films!

Titled ‘OFF Focus’, this screening programme held during Singapore Art Week brings together a specially curated selection of artist videos and films from Southeast Asia. These artist films introduce an alternative form of expression – showcasing insightful and unique forms of visual language.

From rarely seen films to works that tackle surveillance, historical and artistic boundaries, OFF Focus offers insight into the ideas, reflections and characteristics of video art in the region.

Don’t miss the chance to catch the Super 8 short films by internationally renowned Thai artist Rirkrit Tiravanija – shot on a Super 8mm film camera from the 1980s – which will be screened in Singapore for the first time, followed by an in-person Q&A session with the artist.
