The history of dance, music and composing has been interwoven for hundreds of years. Famous musicians such as Stravinsky, Prokofiev, Tchaikovsky, Delibes, and Minkus have all made works specially designed for dance that have lasted through generations. Some of the most well-known musical compositions today were originally created for famous ballets. Join us this July at One @ the Ballet for a deeper look at the relationship between dance and music, and how dancers dance to and remember choreography set to intricate music!
