Presented by Noise Singapore and The Hidden Good, #MyMusicMyNoise uses music to uncover hidden artistic talents and stories amongst young Singaporeans aged 35 and below, to make music and art accessible and inclusive to them. The programme encourages youths to share purposeful stories through music that could resonate with others. Two of the most inspiring stories will be turned to music videos for social good.
Interested participants with a purposeful story (ranging from self to community) can participate by posting a short video of their original music or sound clips, on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #MyMusicMyNoise.
After the Open Call, auditions will be held for shortlisted participants on 23 September 2017. The names of the two aspiring musicians selected will be released on 25 September 2017 and they will get to work with a mentor from Zendyll Productions to turn their inspiring stories into a song each.
The songs will also be made into music videos with the help of a professional crew, at a location of their choice. Both music videos will be released in January
2018, on The Hidden Good’s Facebook and Youtube page.
How to apply:
Step 1: Record a video of you singing a song that means something to you.
Step 2: In your caption, share how this song is related to a social cause or something that you care about.
Step 3: Upload the video on Facebook or Instagram (make sure you set your account to public so we can find your entry).
Step 4: Hashtag #MyMusicMyNoise and get your friends to like it!
Step 5: Connect with other budding artists and share your music and your voice. Let’s get this movement started!
