Pameran Poskad: Postcard-sized artworks by 500 artists from 29 countries

Pameran Poskad’s fifth installment is back at the Gillman Barracks, seeing 500 artists participating from 29 countries. Some of the participating artists include local and international notable artists, Eko Nugroho (Indonesia), Ben Cab (Philippines), Heri Dono (Indonesia), Wilson Shieh (Hong Kong), Teppei Kaneuji (Japan), Agus Suwage (Indonesia), Thukral & Tagra (India), Donna Ong (Singapore), Genevieve Chua (Singapore) Robert Zhao (Singapore).

Every artwork in the show is fitted within a post-card sized plastic sleeve, allowing expansion of one’s interpretation of a “postcard”. The artworks usually range from two-dimensional prints to three-dimensional objects. We have seen a variety of works, such as prints to ceramics (and even stuffed creations)!

Pameran Poskad was initiated to make art more accessible to the public, opening the doors to art lovers from all walks of life to share the joy of being an artist and art patron. Pameran Poskad creates a fun and inspiring atmosphere to an exhibition, where people come to appreciate and collect works by artists from all demographics. From the past editions, we have had participants from the international & local art community to the businessmen, housewives, students and children. Pameran Poskad hopes to be the platform to encourage those who have never engaged with art to give art-making a try!
