To usher in the Lunar New Year in the year of the red monkey, Word Your Story has launched a POPart solo exhibition to do more good to our community. Instead of only donating to plant more trees in Singapore as part of Mr Lee Kuan Yew’s initiative in their previous ‘rememberingLKY’ exhibitions, they would also likewise, give back a potion of sales proceeds (if any) to the community upon each customisation and artwork sold on our own accord. To celebrate each festive without forgetting the less privileged. In the POPart solo exhibition, they are presenting a Singapore born visual artist, Sharlene Leong. She believes in getting in touch with the inner-self and translating what the inner thoughts have to say. Visually. Over 25 artworks will be exhibited in ION Art gallery, where it features the legendary and the remembered, from Mr Lee Kuan Yew, to Mahatma Gandhi, to Albert Einstein and more. These original artworks include the painting of memorable expressions and the inking of lasting quotes on canvases. Artworks that trigger the thoughts, aiming to create a never ending story in the minds of the audience.
