Taking place on 6th June 2019, from 7:30pm to 10:00pm at VAC Studio, get to receive professional guidance from our instructor in portrait drawing and sketching. Suitable for those with experience in portrait drawing or even for beginners without any experience in sketching, this session will introduce plenty of sketching skills and techniques to you! With the actual model, practise portrait drawing and receive tips and guidance on your work. Take this opportunity to try portrait drawing and sketching if you have always wanted to put your skills to the test! And bring home your completed portrait drawing works.
(*What’s more, for those with watercolour painting experience, you may bring your own watercolour painting materials or we can also provide the materials for you)
Through life observation of the model – capture various tones, shades, shadows, angles, and skin textures of the model with your own interpretation in this portrait drawing session. The session starts with a brief introduction of proportion and basic anatomy of the skull and facial features, followed by more refined methods of observation and sketching as well as guidance from a professional artist. For those who require more assistance, fret not, you will receive instruction and tips to improve your work, which would be really helpful if you are looking to upgrade your skills and techniques on portrait drawing!
All art materials for drawing will be provided including: sketch boards, easels, pencils (HB, 2B, 4B, 6B), charcoal, erasers. Refreshments of hot and cold water, tea bags, instant coffee and biscuits are complimentary.
