Don’t miss out on this one-day Imaginarium special from Indonesia! Grab your tickets early to this special site-specific performance by Papermoon Puppet Theatre, the acclaimed Indonesian contemporary puppet theatre troupe who created the exquisite hand-made puppets in Imaginarium: Over the Ocean, Under the Sea. PRANI: the breath takes audiences on an aural journey of Lasem, a tiny town on the northern part of Java island, and the estuary upon which it sits. Inspired by the ancient ‘Wayang Bengkong’ from Lasem, the artist performances combines art installation, puppetry, masks, shadow, sounds and lights to bring you on a journey unlike any other.
Papermoon has performed internationally including in London, New York, Amsterdam, Yokohama and will be next seen at the OzAsia Festival in Adelaide in September 2016. Performance will run for approximately 45 minutes, with 15 minutes of meet-and-greet with artists and puppets engagement following the performance.
